When we first heard about Broken Bow, I was a little skeptical because I had envisioned Oklahoma as just a flat, dust bowl- akin to something from the Grapes of Wrath. However, I was definitely very wrong- Broken Bow is awesome. It has a huge lake in the middle of pine forests.
Here's a picture of Joseph on our way out the first day- he looks really excited to be there. However, he still really enjoyed himself and slept really well during his nap.
Here's the second day- a whole lot happier.
He also warmed up a lot to my aunt and uncle on the second day.
He even cuddled up next to my aunt when he was getting tired.
My uncle let him drive the boat a little bit too- that's a sure fire way to make a friend out of this boy.
Especially when you let him honk the horn.
We also had a lot of fun wake boarding- the water was really smooth for the most part. I also was able to do a lot better than the previous time.
But there was still a few really good crashes.
When we stopped for a little break, Joseph immediately went for the driver's seat.
However, when he started to grab for the throttle, we knew it was time for something different and we went to go play in the water.
Although it took a little coaxing to get him into the water, he loved it and didn't want to get out.
Who doesn't love a day at the lake?
Especially when it completely wears out a little boy.
Another really fun thing about the trip to Broken Bow is Joseph got one of his wishes- to hang out with Tex, my aunt and uncle's dog. Joseph practically followed him around the entire time while we weren't at the lake.
Another exciting thing Joseph discovered on the trip is how fun hanging out with people other than mom and dad can be. Hopefully this helps with nursery and babysitters.

Joseph's skill on the computer is improving at a scary rate- he now knows that he can push a button to start up one of his favorite shows on pbskids.org, Dinosaur Train. If given a choice, Joseph will sometimes even forgo dessert, such as ice cream, to play with the computer.
The other day when I got home from work, Joseph decided to play with my shirt. We think he might be trying to practice for the Christmas Nativity so he can be a shepherd again this year.
Shortly after we arrived in Texas, Joseph started associating his nightly bath with part of his bedtime routine. He would kick and scream and want nothing to do with it. So, we decided to add some bubbles and magically, he loves his bath again and just wants to hang out afterwards.
A couple weeks ago, Jodie decided to make some cupcakes and they were a huge hit with Joseph. However, one day, he refused to eat them with his hands.
He loved it, but made quite the mess in the process.
Another thing that we discovered over the past couple weeks is that Joseph loves twinkies. After they were released again, a coworker of mine brought some to the office and I snagged one to bring back home. Needless to say, Joseph thoroughly enjoys them.
