First, this is Picacho Peak, the tallest mountain in this group.
We got there at about 7:30 in the morning and here is a view of one of the peaks by the entrance to the park.
We started climbing up and gained elevation pretty quick (or so I thought, more pictures later). We arrived at what they call the saddle, the flat plateau in between the summits. Here's two pictures at the saddle. This first one looks out over the freeway.

Next, we had to ascend the summit of Picacho Peak. I didn't get any pictures on the way up, but I grabbed a few on the way back- it was a pretty fun and intense hike. But anyway, here we are on the top.
Next I took this picture looking towards our house. Our house is between the two mountain ranges in the horizon.
Now, for the pictures of the ascent/descent of the summit. There were lots of vertical climbs that required steel cables and walking across wooden planks. In these areas, it was very narrow and you had to travel in single file- which sometimes was even a tight squeeze. Here's the first area that we had to wait for a group to finish climbing up to pass. You can also see the beginning of the steel support for the wooden plank.

These next two pictures don't do the flowers justice, but there were a lot of flowers in this area. It was kind of neat because the flowers hadn't opened when we started out in the morning because it was too cold. However, on our way back, they had all opened up and it was a fun surprise.

That was our hike of Picacho Peak. It was a lot of fun and we decided we need to do it more often. So, if anyone wants to come hike it, you're more than welcomed to come with us.Later that day we watched general conference and I went to Priesthood session. Afterward, we invited some friends to come over and have root beer floats and an Easter egg hunt. Jodie hid 80 eggs around our house and we all searched for the eggs. Here's a picture of the hunt.
Lastly, here's a picture from today of my Easter basket. My Easter bunny was very kind to me.
