Easter, Graduation, and back to Texas

Things have been a little crazy during the month of April, but they are finally starting to quiet down and we wanted to get everyone caught up.  Last month, we finished school, had Maile's blessing, moved to Texas, and started a new job.

So, let's go back to the beginning of the month.  Over conference weekend, we went down to St. George to spend a little time with Grandma & Grandpa Maxwell.  It had been a while since we visited them and it was nice for them to get to meet Maile.

For Easter, we had a little celebration with some of our friends from the MBA program.  

Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.  We're definitely going to miss our friends back in Utah.

We also dyed some eggs with the family of Joseph's best friend for a family night activity.

After Easter, it was time to get to packing.  Joseph was mom's special "helper".

Despite all the packing, Joseph still got some time to play with his cousin and best friend...

The hardest part about leaving Utah, for all of us, will be leaving our friends behind.

On the Apr 24, we decided to have Maile's blessing so that we could capitalize on family being in town for graduation.  I really enjoyed this picture of Maile and her great-grandma.

 Because graduation was later in the day, we decided to a celebratory lunch with everyone at Tucanos.  Here are some pictures of the group:

Joseph managed to find some cookies that were being saved for the reception afterwards.  Here is a picture of his cookie coma that resulted.

After I finished walking, Jodie had a few more leis for me to wear.

The next morning, my dad and I set out in the Uhaul and started making the drive towards Dallas. It was definitely an interesting drive with all types of weather conditions.  But we made it in 2 days and got everything all unpacked for Jodie and the kids arrival on Monday (they opted for a 2 hour flight instead of a 2 day drive).  On Wednesday, I had my first day back at the office.  After spending the school year working remotely, it was really nice to be back with the team again.

Since getting back to Dallas, we've already started to visit some of our favorite sites again- such as the Fort Worth Zoo.

And we have already hit up the pool too.
