Port Gamble and New Year's

Over the Christmas break, Jodie and I went with her parents to Port Gamble, WA.

Port Gamble is a historic lumber town. Back in its day, it was a bustling little place. Today, it's mostly a small neighborhood of historic homes and shops. In the general store building, they also have a little museum. Here are a few pictures from the collections.

The shells were pretty impressive, especially the one in the back of the case next to me.

Although it was a very sunny, clear day in Washington (very unusual during the winter), it was very cold. So, here's a quick shot of Jodie with her parents, all three of them trying to survive the cold.

Later during our trip, we also got the opportunity to celebrate New Year's with Jodie's parents. So, here is Jodie and Mom at midnight. There's no wonder that they didn't want to come out and light fireworks with us.

After lighting a few of them, we went back inside because it was a very cold night. Plus, we had to wake up early the next morning to make our flight back to Arizona. All in all, it was a very fun trip to Washington and definitely too short.
