November

Well, we've had November's pictures ready to upload for a little bit now, but illness has slowed things down a little in our family. So, without further adieu, here is the month of November.

Jodie has been busy working on some projects for the holidays and here are some pictures.

First, some turkey cookies for our primary class. We teach the 9-10 year olds and we always come home from church laughing about something from class. We did our best to transport the cookies to church, but some of them got a little squished. So, one of the boys when he got his cookie that had been squished a little said, "aww, mine has a bloody nose." But anyway, here were the cookies.

These next three pictures are from projects that Jodie did at the ward's super saturday.




The other big thing that we had was Thanksgiving break up in Phoenix. We drove up after Jodie got out of school on Wednesday. That night, we drove to my Mom's house and a Thanksgiving dinner. It was a very delicious dinner, thank you Mom.

Then we went to my Dad's house for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. There was a lot of people there and again some really great food. Here are some pictures of the preparations and dinner.

We cooked three turkeys in three different ways. I only have pictures of two of them because the other was cooked in the oven.

I enjoyed this picture of Jenna hard-at-work making whip cream.

This picture is a little small to fully enjoy, but you can kind of see the details. Dad was checking the turkey in the oven and grabbed the only hot pads he could find- they just happened to be pink polka dots.

Carving the turkeys took a little while.

After dinner, we all went to the park and played croquet.

Except James, who drove around his blue car.










The next day, while the girls went out and got their toes done, Dad, Taylor, and I went jeeping. We had a blast and explored around an old mine and around the desert a little.

We found a stream bed and Taylor took us for a good ride over some rocks.

Then Dad got the jeep up on some nice rocks for a quick picture.

It was a little harder to get back into the jeep than it was to get out of it.


Well, those are all the pictures we have from the month of November. It has been a great month for us and we've had time to reflect on all the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us and our families.
